A little about Jeanette: She now lives in DeMotte, Indiana. She grew up in Hammond, Indiana with 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She's married to a carpenter/jack of all trades. Together they have 6 adult children and 10 grandchildren and 2 cats: Visa & Buddy. They have a glass studio and woodshop on the edge of Jasper & Newton Counties where they have their home.
Jeanette's hobbies: Besides beadwork, she also sews, crochets, embroiders and loves to make dolls.
How she got into glass? Her husband wanted to start making custom entry doors. So, he wanted to learn to do stained glass to offer doors with custom stained glass. She went with him to the classes, and got hooked.
What she loves about glass? The many colors, and the idea that wherever there is stained glass windows, jewelry, objects, etc. it just brightens up everything.
Publications where she's been featured: Stained Glass News - she made front page with her Piano Rose glass panel, Issue 59? She also has a table lantern design in Aanraku’s Table Lantern 4 contest winners pattern book. The design is called Asian Moons.
Where she sells her glass? If you're interested in viewing some of Jeanette's beautiful glass work, you can check out her website at: www.jsavinacollection.com and she also sells on eBay.
