A little about yourself (i.e. what town you live in, where you grew up, family members, pets, occupation, etc…)? I live in Peru, an hour north of Indy. I make my living as a Digital Artist / Designer doing promotional artwork, web design, brochures and business cards, etc. I also am the business half of Circus City Electric, my husbands electrical contracting company. I am very involved in local politics and community affairs and currently sit on several community and non profit boards, one of which is Peru’s “Fall Fest – Art on the Block” festival. I am the proud mother of two adult children, 6 grandchildren (7 to 17), 2 of which live here in Peru and are at our home on a regular basis, and 3 large dogs.
What are your hobbies besides glass? If I had time for a hobby, it would be reading. Unfortunately, I don’t get much spare time currently.
How you got into glass? My best friend Cinda Brown. I met her at Heritage Days here in Peru 2 summers ago and instantly liked her and what she was doing. I used to own a jewelry supply company and didn’t like what was available to use for jewelry making. I had considered doing my own before but never taken action until I saw beads actually being made. I was hooked instantly!
Favorite glass quote or saying and why? My coffee mug says it all.
What you love about glass? The endless possibilities.
Where you sell your glass? Both on my site and at shows. I will be soon be found in a local art gallery.
Any publications where you’ve been featured (if applicable)? So far only newspapers and web articles.
