A little about yourself (i.e. what town you live in, where you grew up, family members, pets, occupation, etc…)? After a career in computers, I dove into creating lampworked glass beads in my studio in Fisherville (Louisville), Kentucky. I am a graduate of a beginning beadmaking class and other intermediate lampworking classes.

I am a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers and a juried member of the Louisville Artisans’ Guild and the Kentucky Craft Marketing Program.

I grew up in the Ferdinand-Huntingburg-Jasper area of southern Indiana. Now a car racer and proud grandmother, I live with my fellow competitor car racer husband and a couple of guard cats.

What are your hobbies besides glass? What, I can have other hobbies too? Okay, okay, car racing.

How you got into glass? Although I have always loved glass, it took my daughter talking me into that beginning beadmaking glass to get me hooked!

What you love about glass? What’s not to love . . . its unpredictability, its wonderful reactions with other colors, what you can do with it with metal foils and enamels. Most of all, I love the wonderful intense colors you get with “soft” glass.

Where you sell your glass? My beads and finished jewelry are showing at the Kentucky Museum of Aft and Craft Gallery, the Glassworks Gallery and at Gallery 10 Seventy in Louisville and at Kittrell/Riffkind Art Glass in Dallas.

In addition, I maintain a show schedule. You can see the details on my web site under “shows”.
